This allows it to be lighter in weight which is a very common for RV interior components since it allows them to be lighter weight since towing capacities of the vehicles are a factor. If all of the RV interior components were as heavy and as heavy duty as house components the RVs would weight so much that only heavier duty vehicles would be able to tow them.
